ITP LIVING ART PROJECT // RANDOM LIGHT
The random light idea came from an earlier class project and the ITP obsession to use LEDs with everything. The earlier sculpture could be randomly configured and was held together by very strong magnets. I really wanted to push the idea and add some utilitarian function to the sculpture and came up with the idea to make a lamp.

The two parts that make up the lamp are the base and the lighting unit. Not until the lighting unit is engaged with the base will it light up. |

Once attached, you can change the intensity of the light by twisting the lighting unit. (See video below) |
